Henry Winkler's Story of Dyslexia

March 5, 2015 08:33 AM

Henry Winkler, a dyslexic himself, recently released a new children’s book series, which is a prequel to his previously released Hank Zipzer original series.  “Inspired by the true life experiences of Henry Winkler, whose undiagnosed dyslexia made him a classic childhood underachiever, the Hank Zipzer series is about the high-spirited and funny adventures of a boy with learning differences.”

This fabulous and creative series touches on the struggles of a child with dyslexia.  A child with dyslexia is much more than his/her disability.  Aside for being fun, witty and creative, this series will help a young reader gain a better understanding of a friend with a learning difference.  And, if you have a learning difference, you may identify with Hank and his problems and realize you are not alone!

Below is a link to the Fox News interview of Henry Winkler.  It is quite inspirational!
